Cat Hai district People’s Committee is implementing plans for the festival marking the 56th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s visit to the fishing village (March 31, 1959 – March 31, 2015) – Vietnam Fisheries Traditional Day (April 01, 1959 – April 01, 2015) and the Opening of Cat Ba tourism in 2015.
Cat Hai district’s festival will be held from 29 March 2015 to 31 March 2015 at Cat Ba tourism center and the communes and township in the district. Main activities of the festival are propagation of Cat Ba tourism; Cat Hai art performance 2015; Organization “The day when the entire people join hands for a green, clean and beautiful island of Cat Hai district”; Cat Hai volleyball tournament in 2015; a mini football league for students of Cat Hai and Cat Ba high schools; 21st dragon boat racing competition for Hai Phong Newspaper Cup; 56th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s visit to the fishing village, the Vietnam Fisheries Traditional Day and the opening of Cat Ba tourism season in 2015; Cat Ba Commerce – Tourism – Seafood Exhibition Fair 2015.
The district people’s committee has established and assigned specific tasks for sub-committees to serve the festival. Accordingly, the sub-committees will actively build detailed plans to ensure the success of the festival’s activities and creating spreading influence among local people and tourists.
